Government decides to extend Air Chief Marshal’s service after term completion

Rawalpindi: Following the remarkable success of ‘Marka-e-Haq’ and the crushing defeat of enemy ambitions, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has awarded a significant honour to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, alongside Field Marshal Asim Munir.

In a federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a unanimous decision was made to extend the service of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar after the completion of his term. This decision is a recognition of his strategic leadership during Operation Bunyān Mursūs, which significantly contributed to the country’s defence.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the post-conflict situation and briefed the cabinet members on the Pakistan-India defence scenario. Cabinet members acknowledged that Pakistan’s armed forces had delivered decisive victories on every front, strengthening the nation’s global standing and reaffirming its strategic importance.
